Brendan Rodgers has agreed to terms with the club lasting three years. This comes as a major boost for the club after a season that has been more akin to a roller-coaster ride. The club under Kenny Dalglish enjoyed great Cup form however fell short in the more important English Premier League.

The club today confirms that it has chosen Rodgers over an excellent Roberto Martinez as his ideals and plan for the future best suit the club. As a fan, I'm delighted with the decision and think the way Brendan Rodgers has taken care of his ex-team Swansea has been stunning.

It remains to be seen how he handles his first time at one of the biggest clubs in the football world. Liverpool FC will have to buy out the remainder of Swansea's contract with Rodgers, which amounts to approximately 5million GBP.

Fenerbahce, the Turkish Super League outfit, have signed Liverpool veteran Dirk Kuyt for an undisclosed fee thought to be less than 2million GBP. This comes as a surprise to many Liverpool faithful as he has such a loyal servant to the club.

Many believe that one of the primary reasons behind Kuyt's swift departure has been his lack of starting appearances. Regardless, there can be denial that Kuyt has earned a rightful spot in the fans' heart through his admirable work ethic and impressive track record in big games.

After an injury to Chelsea midfielder, Gary Cahill, a fourth Liverpool FC member has found their way into England's Euro 2012 squad. This player is none other than the exciting talent: Martin Kelly. He joins three other Liverpool FC members in the current English fold: Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson and Stewart Downing.

Kelly's inclusion into the English squad comes as a complete surprise to many as Cahill was expected to be replaced by none other than Manchester United's veteran centre-back, Rio Ferdinand.

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has been relieved of his post as coach of Liverpool FC. This news was expected by many as his squad was unable to deliver the results expected by the club. It is not known currently which managers are being lined up however there are reports that Liverpool chief executives have started interviewing potential candidates.
